Position Summary:

As a Buyer/Planner, you will work in a team environment to execute the short and long-range planning and buying activities to achieve individual, team and divisional goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and monitoring of MRD demand outlooks for approximately $10 million dollars in spend across key product categories.
• Conduct weekly review of MRD targets to determine required planning actions for purchased finished goods, 3rd party packaged finished goods, and or components.
• Using MRD targets, identify supply risks and discuss options to mitigate with manager and provide summarized weekly report to management.
• Issue weekly purchase orders, monitor and ensure supplier delivery schedules are executed on time.
• Aid in part number and bill of material set up and maintenance in ERP to support Service and Parts.
• Maintain Service and Parts where used files and replacement items are databased.
• Maintain Service and Part end of life support dates in ERP.
• Collaborate with project teams to execute product development and annual PLS timelines to meet divisional and customer launch and ramp down timing.
• Drive efforts to achieve divisional metrics for Safety, Fill Rates, Margins and Inventory Levels.
• Aid in development of supplier scorecard data for use in supplier management / development discussions.
• Develop and use the ITW Toolbox in decision making and team projects.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and or Procurement position.
• Bachelor’s degree with focus on Supply Chain, Business Administration or Operations required.
• Detailed oriented, with the exceptional ability to analyze data to drive decisions.
• Above average Excel skills with ability to perform advanced formulas, V-Lookups, pivot tables etc.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross functional team.

Work Environment:

Most time will be spent in an office environment. Occasionally the employee may be required to spend time in the manufacturing and distribution setting/locations and/or the corporate office in Glenview, IL. Annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $79,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
