Job summary

KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Agent responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods from external suppliers, coordinating deliveries, and negotiating terms with both international and domestic partners.

The role requires a degree or relevant experience, proficiency with Excel/Microsoft Office, experience with JD Edwards or similar MRP systems, and strong communication, organization, and analytical skills to support supply chain

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase finished goods from external suppliers (international and domestic).
• Negotiate price, lead times, packaging, and terms with suppliers with the supply chain team and leadership.
• Coordinate container deliveries between the shipping company and receiving team.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and forecast changes.

Basic Function:

Top Duties and Qualifications A Buyer, or Purchasing Agent, is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods from external suppliers, both international and domestic, as assigned.
• Buy inventory from suppliers and negotiate, together with supply chain team and leadership, on price, lead times, packaging, and terms.
• Coordinate the deliveries of containers between shipping company and receiving team.
• Regular communication with suppliers to confirm delivery dates or changes based on adjustments in forecast made by sales.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or previous experience in purchasing, material management, or related field preferred.
• Strong experience with JD Edwards or similar MRP system.

Requirements:

• Must posses a high degree of communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
• Capable of identifying issues and communicating to all necessary stakeholders in a timely manner
