Job summary

KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools in Cincinnati seeks a Buyer to manage purchasing for finished goods from external suppliers both domestic and international. You will negotiate prices, lead times, packaging, and terms with leadership and the supply chain team while coordinating container deliveries and supplier communications.

The role requires an undergraduate degree or relevant purchasing experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and MRP systems.

Responsibilities

Basic Function:

Top Duties and Qualifications A Buyer, or Purchasing Agent, is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods from external suppliers, both international and domestic, as assigned.
• Buy inventory from suppliers and negotiate, together with supply chain team and leadership, on price, lead times, packaging, and terms.
• Coordinate the deliveries of containers between shipping company and receiving team.
• Regular communication with suppliers to confirm delivery dates or changes based on adjustments in forecast made by sales.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or previous experience in purchasing, material management, or related field preferred.
• Strong experience with JD Edwards or similar MRP system.

Requirements:

• Must posses a high degree of communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
• Capable of identifying issues and communicating to all necessary stakeholders in a timely manner
