Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Buyer Planner to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role requires an understanding of the manufacturing process, strong forecasting ability, and an analytical mindset to ensure the smooth running of our production line. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services to meet operational needs, considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Product Development Process (PDP) and implement Engineering Change Orders as required.
• Generate and analyze Planned Order Reports and maintain Work Order Maintenance.
• Monitor and manage Material Shortage Reporting, anticipating delays and formulating solutions proactively.
• Implement and manage the Kanban system to ensure efficient production flow.
• Oversee and coordinate activities in the Production Cell to ensure optimal productivity.
• Perform Cycle Counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to streamline procurement, operations, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Collaborate with departments to forecast needs and plan procurement schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, building relationships and negotiating contracts for cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is required.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
• Proficient in ERP software and other relevant computer applications.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
