National Food Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Buyer to support our growing Zee Zees brand. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of purchase orders, optimizing supplier relationships, and maintaining ideal inventory levels across stocked items. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in supply chain practices, with a passion for operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order & Vendor Coordination

• Oversee the full PO lifecycle from issuance to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Monitor and reprioritize open orders in alignment with sales trends and vendor capabilities.
• Facilitate drop shipments to meet full and on-time customer delivery requirements.
• Follow up on overdue orders and escalate issues as needed to ensure vendor compliance.
• Manage RMA processes and track vendor credits to maintain financial accuracy.
• Maintain and evaluate vendor performance through monthly scorecards and reporting.
  
  

Inventory & Fulfillment Management

• Ensure appropriate inventory levels and manage restocking of Zee Zees stocked items to meet turn goals.
• Identify out-of-stock risks and coordinate with vendors to develop preventive solutions.
• Support new item and vendor setup in collaboration with Product Development and Lead Buyers.
• Address customer and consumer inquiries regarding product availability and fulfillment status.
  
  

Process Optimization & Reporting

• Drive issue resolution across purchasing, logistics, and sales to prevent disruptions.
• Generate and analyze daily reports on PO status, stock levels, and inbound shipments.
• Leverage automated tools to proactively flag inventory risks and overdue orders.
• Maintain accurate vendor and item master records within internal systems.
  
  

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, and cross-functional teams to align purchasing with business goals.
• Provide insights on lead times and expedite orders when needed to maintain service levels.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying purchasing efficiencies and supporting key initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with automated reporting tools is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.
