Associates degree with 1-2 years of direct working experience or a bachelor’s degree required (new graduates encouraged). Business degree or equivalent.

The role involves procuring materials, equipment, parts, supplies, and services efficiently. Main tasks include turning Purchase Requisitions into orders, following up, and expediting.

Essential Functions:

• Receives and reviews requisitions generated by the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) System and internal employees.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as delivery schedules.
• Negotiates delivery for parts, equipment, services, and supplies.
• Prepares and issues purchase orders according to requirements.
• Tracks and expedites orders for delivery; advises sales and production departments of delivery status.
• Maintains procurement records via the MRP system regarding items or services purchased, delivery, product quality, or performance, and inventories.
• Utilizes SAP to review and confirm demand.
• Schedules product purchases and deliveries; reschedules deliveries when necessary according to customer requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management to meet business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Associates degree with 1-2 years of experience or bachelor’s degree (new graduates encouraged).
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office products.
• High degree of personal, professional ethics and integrity.
• Self-directed, tactful, diplomatic, courteous, and professional in dealings with internal and external customers.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, being self-motivated.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to business forecasts and inventory scheduling.
• Capable of applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to procurement tasks.
