Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense Maritime, based in DeLeon Springs, FL, is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage government defense purchases in compliance with FAR and DFAR. This fully onsite role supports high‑volume defense manufacturing and requires strong negotiation and supplier management.

You will place and track orders, analyze requirements, prepare reports, and ensure on‑time delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance. Travel may be required; US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or related discipline.
• FAR and DFAR regulated purchasing experience.
• Competency with MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials in accordance with FAR/DFAR and company policies.
• Analyze requirements to satisfy program needs and maximize value.
• Place and track purchase orders; follow up on contracts and deliveries.
• Expedite delinquent shipments and resolve supplier issues.
• Resolve supplier quality issues and PO accounting problems.
• Travel to meet suppliers as needed.
• Determine material requirements from engineering/production schedules.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly management reports.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR/DFAR.

Candidate MUST have experience with government defense buying experience (FAR/DFAR).

Job Summary

This is a fully onsite/in-office role, at our headquarters in DeLeon Springs, FL. The candidate will perform specialized and diversified procurement functions necessary to supply materials in accordance with FAR and DFAR regulations, as well as Corporate Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities include securing the lowest reasonable prices while ensuring maximum quality and on‑time delivery to support manufacturing operations. This position requires experience in high‑volume defense manufacturing.

Responsibilities And Tasks

• Must have government defense buying experience.
• Analyze multiple requirements to satisfy the requirements of the requesting program or department and are in the best interest of the company.
• Place purchase orders as needed. Follow-up on purchase orders, Supplier contracts and material status as required.
• May assist other individuals in expediting delinquent shipments and resolving other associated problems. May provide work direction to other employees in the department.
• Resolve Supplier quality issues, purchase order accounting issues and problem receipts.
• Travel, as required, to meet with Suppliers and other appropriate representatives to discuss and satisfy matters that cannot be taken care of in the plant.
• May be responsible for determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules and maintaining inventory at appropriate level.
• Generally, will exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions in line with company policies of good, ethical purchasing practices.
• Prepare management and analysis reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Perform other related duties as necessary to support procurement department.
• FAR and DFAR regulated purchasing experience, regulatory compliance.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications

• BA/BS in related field or equivalent years of experience within field.
• 3+ years of experience in related discipline.
• FAR and DFAR regulated purchasing experience, regulatory compliance.
• Competency working with MS Excel.

Oracle Database Experience Preferred

CPIM or CPM preferred within two years of position assignment.

Skills And Abilities

• Thorough understanding of operations principles (JIT, MRP, and TQC) required.
• Demonstrated experience and successful results in negotiation skills and strategies.
• May require ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance.
