AeroVironment in California is seeking a Buyer II contractor to handle procurement of services, supplies and equipment while ensuring compliance with policies. You will review requisitions, issue RFQs/RFPs, and coordinate with manufacturing, planning and engineering to secure inventory cost-effectively and timely.
Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, developing sources, and maintaining supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
The Buyer II performs procurement duties related to the purchasing of services, supplies and equipment in accordance to policies and regulations. In this role, one reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions as well as coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. The Buyer processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
