Valmet is seeking a Buyer in Massachusetts to plan and manage procurement for projects, create accurate purchase orders, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires strong Excel data analysis capabilities and on-site work at the workshop to monitor subcontract order status.
Responsibilities include forecasting, inventory analysis, supplier liaison, and continuous process improvements within a dynamic environment.
The Buyer is responsible for purchasing all components needed to construct, repair, or replace Valmet equipment. This role primarily involves handling smaller-value projects, including complete contract (CC Projects) and commodity-based purchases. A key aspect of this position is leveraging advanced Excel skills for data analysis and supporting the team with accurate data maintenance. The Buyer will oversee the entire project execution, from purchase order (PO) creation to expediting for on-time delivery. This role requires on-site work, including daily visits to the workshop to monitor subcontract order status.
