Job summary

Marmon Aerospace & Defense LLC in Manchester, NH is seeking a Buyer II to manage purchasing of raw materials and related items, maintain supplier relationships, and drive lean supply practices. You will review MRP signals, schedule deliveries, and support on-time manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP signal to determine demand and schedule material delivery.
• Purchase raw materials, MRO, and other non-raw material items.
• Maintain files and records on all purchase orders.
• Ensure timely deliveries of quality materials to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Reduce lead time and inventory with suppliers.
• Develop supplier stock programs with critical suppliers.
• Maintain current pricing of all raw materials and notify others on price changes.
• Handle quotations and lead times for sales and current requirements.
• Negotiate with non-raw material suppliers to lower pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal QA on returns of defective material.
• Maintain Kanban/pull systems with operations.
• Identify root causes and implement solutions for shortages and inaccuracies.
• Support on-time delivery and inventory goals.
• Lead cross-functional supply chain projects.
• Attend key meetings (S&OP, cross-functional, etc.).
• Walk the floor during Kanban reviews.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
