We are looking for a/an Buyer I to join our Services_AME team in United States.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To produce monthly reports on open PO’s for the previous months reconciliation of open PO’s that are processed by the buyer
  • The buyer will work to achieve the fewest and best suitable vendors for Sulzer as required
  • To correct and input information into the BPO, HPE
  • To follow up on received PO’s for accuracy in quantity and the delivery date was met
  • To participate in the ISO process for reviewing critical vendors and the setup of all vendors in the computer system
  • To source and to order shop and project related goods, administrative materials and provide support to the PM and the PA
  • To input PO information into the computer for the purpose of tracking, receiving and for accounts payable/receivables to perform their processes as required

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain experience
  • Two years of experience related to offices practices needed
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem solving background an asset
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in latest Microsoft software preferred
  • The ability to multitask and excellent communication is a must
