Job summary

CPM Acquisition Corp. is seeking a Buyer to support material planning and purchasing for an OEM of industrial process machinery.

Responsibilities include quotes, PO issuance, and vendor follow-up, working with ERP systems such as SAP Business One, Excel, and Word. The ideal candidate has an Associates degree or equivalent experience, with prior purchasing or planning background and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing personnel in an office setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience desired.
• U.S. citizen or valid/current work visa required.
• Prior purchasing or planning experience preferred.
• Able to work in an office environment and coordinate with manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activity; maintain inventory and job specific needs.
• Create and issue Purchase Orders.
• Participate in supplier sourcing and development.
• Participate and/or facilitate contract negotiations.
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery, terms, and invoicing issues as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The buyer will support material planning and purchasing functions for an OEM of industrial process machinery. Day to day activities include obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders, and following-up with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily purchasing activity; maintain inventory and job specific needs
• Create and issue Purchase Orders
• Participate in supplier sourcing and development
• Participate and/or facilitate contract negotiations
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery, terms, and invoicing issues as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One is preferred), Excel, Word
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors
• Self-starter with a developed sense of urgency and diligence
