Job summary

CPM Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to support material planning and purchasing for an OEM of industrial process machinery. You will obtain quotes, place purchase orders, and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

Daily responsibilities include managing inventory, liaising with suppliers, and negotiating terms. This full-time role requires ERP experience and strong communication skills in an office-and-production environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• U.S. citizen or valid/current work visa.
• Prior purchasing or planning experience preferred.
• Able to work in an office environment but also deal with manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activity; maintain inventory and job specific needs
• Create and issue Purchase Orders
• Participate in supplier sourcing and development
• Participate and/or facilitate contract negotiations
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery, terms, and invoicing issues as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Summary

The buyer will support material planning and purchasing functions for an OEM of industrial process machinery. Day to day activities include obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders, and following-up with vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activity; maintain inventory and job specific needs
• Create and issue Purchase Orders
• Participate in supplier sourcing and development
• Participate and/or facilitate contract negotiations
• Follow up with suppliers on pricing, delivery, terms, and invoicing issues as required

Skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One is preferred), Excel, Word
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors
• Self-starter with a developed sense of urgency and diligence
