Job summary

Wasatch Labs is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support sourcing, quotes, and order placements. The role involves reviewing MRP, issuing and revising purchase orders, and coordinating with planning to ensure timely deliveries.

You will maintain purchase records, track deliveries, onboard new suppliers, and resolve minor supplier issues while collaborating with warehouse and internal teams. Prior manufacturing procurement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to communicate and work with internal management, suppliers and clients.
• Limited authority to make independent purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform sourcing, obtain quotes, and place orders.
• Review MRP, issue purchase orders, and make revisions.
• Follow up on confirmations and delivery dates.
• Maintain records of purchases, track deliveries, and manage inventory.
• Onboard new suppliers and resolve minor supplier issues.

They evaluate bids, negotiate prices, and track purchases.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform basic purchasing tasks such as sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and placing orders.The purchase of non-inventory items based on each department's purchase requisitions (PR).Reviewing MRP, issuing purchase orders, and making any necessary revisions.
