The role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong logistics knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints; it offers exposure to a broad client base and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing with a specific commodity (8-12 years preferred).
• Mandatory proficiency in SAP.
• Mandatory advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros).
• Background in global procurement, supply chain, or purchasing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all procurement tasks up to contract signature, including resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, and surcharge management.
• Perform data analysis, reporting, and payment resolutions.
• Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, and components.
• Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
• Coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing and engineering costs.
• Participate in design and technical reviews.
• Select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers and vendors.

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Buyer for a hybrid position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Oak Brook, IL or Racine, WI. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview

This role is for a high-performing, self-starting individual to join a demanding team focused on parts and service commodities. The candidate will manage procurement and supply chain tasks, including data analysis, supplier negotiations, and reporting, utilizing mandatory skills in SAP and advanced Excel.

Key Responsibilities
