Doocey Group is a long-established civil engineering contractor seeking a Buyer for maternity cover. You will source, purchase, and manage inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery to support operations across departments.

You will work with Acumen and EQUE2 systems, collaborate with multiple sites, and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring best prices and quality for all materials.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a procurement role, preferably civil engineering.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional with internal/external stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Create and manage material orders across multiple depots (Tipton, Birmingham, Cambridge).
• Obtain quotes and ensure best prices and quality for materials.
• Enter delivery notes and maintain up-to-date order books and GRN.
• Process supplier invoices and monitor delivery schedules.
• Prepare reports for Directors and senior management.
• Support with annual events and system implementations (EQUE2).
• Maintain procurement inbox and respond to queries promptly.
