Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a buyer/planner or purchasing agent.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with purchasing electrical components preferred.
• High level of organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Negotiation/facilitation skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with customers and suppliers at all levels.
• Ability to diagnose problems and implement solutions through strategic thinking.
• Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems at one time.
• Extensive knowledge of planning for engineering processes and procedures preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of purchase order and bill of material standards.
• Understanding of computer operations, Microsoft Office, ERP, and APICS.
• Complete knowledge of Inventory Quality Control.

Responsibilities

• Process and standardize procurement transactions.
• Request quotes and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery terms for non-agreement suppliers.
• Review quotes for projects assigned.
• Maintain supplier relations and monitor budgets and schedules.
• Mentor and train team members on company policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze material availability and arrange purchasing or in-house production as needed.
• Develop and distribute procurement metrics reports to management.
