Job summary

Thomson Power Systems (TPS), part of Regal Rexnord, seeks a Buyer for its new procurement team near Arlington, TX. The role is fully onsite and reports to the Arlington Supply Chain Manager.

You will ensure the right quantity of goods at the right time and cost to meet production needs. Responsibilities include demand planning in SAP, vendor management, and maintaining SAP data while optimizing inventory levels and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of procurement with demonstrated results.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and transactional/planning modules.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Effective English communication.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Drive demand planning through SAP and established MRP processes.
• Monitor vendor performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors and resolve delivery, quality, and pricing issues.
• Place purchasing orders and follow up to meet production schedules.
• Maintain integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP.
• Manage inventory levels (stock, buyin, VMI, MRO) for reorder.
• Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover.
• Review production plans to ensure material availability.
• Identify and resolve past-due backlog issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. Thomson Power Systems (TPS) - (a Regal Rexnord company) a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for the power generation industry with over 50 years of proven excellence. As we expand into a new facility near Arlington, TX, we’re seeking a Buyer to help support our new procurement team. Reporting directly to the Arlington Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business has the right quantity of goods and materials at the right time and at the right cost to meet the production and operational needs. This role involves strategic planning, purchasing, inventory control and supplier relationship management to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and goods required for production. Key responsibilities

• Drive demand planning through SAP and stablished MRP process.
• Monitor and analyze vendor performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Act as primary point of contact for vendors, resolving escalations related to delivery, quality, and pricing discrepancies.
• Place purchasing orders and follow up with suppliers to meet production schedule.
• Maintain the integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP.
• Manage inventory levels (stock, buyin, VMI, MRO) for reorder.
• Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover.
• Review daily and weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
• Monitor, identify, and resolve past due backlog issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade compliance procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement with demonstrated results.
• Demonstrated experience in ERP and MRP (transactional and planning module).
• Experience in SAP will be considered as an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
