Job summary

Sandvik in Alachua, Florida invites a Buyer Analyst to join our Rotary Drilling Division. You will manage procurement for production and after-market support, leveraging MRP data to ensure timely component availability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years with a Bachelor’s or 4+ with an Associate’s, and strong ERP/MRP and MS Office skills. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus. This role offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with relevant purchasing experience.
• Experience: 3+ years with Bachelor’s, 4+ years with Associate’s, or 5+ years with equivalent background in purchasing manufacturing parts.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP applications and office software required.

Responsibilities

• Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.
• Expedite, de-expedite, and cancel parts per production needs.
• Source MRO components via requisitions or online sites.
• Resolve invoice disputes with suppliers.
• Return non-conforming parts for evaluation or replacement.
• Gather supplier information to understand supply constraints.

The Rotary Drilling Division is now looking for a dynamic and experienced Buyer Analyst who will be responsible for procurement to support production and after-market support.

The key responsibilities are :

• Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.
• Expedite, de-expedite, and cancel parts based on production requirements.
• Purchase components for Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) via hand requisitions or through the internet approval sites. (As needed)
• Resolve any invoice disputes with the supplier.
• Resolve non-conforming parts by sending parts back to the supplier for evaluation, rework, or replacement.
• Gather information from suppliers to gain a better understanding of the assigned suppliers' supply constraints.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business management or applicable studies, with (3) years of experience,
• Or Associate's degree & 4+ years' experience in purchasing manufacturing parts,
• Or Equivalent Educational background with 5+ years' experience in purchasing manufacturing parts.

Required Competencies

• Ability to follow instructions and processes to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.
• Ability to type 35wpm and 10-key data entry.
• Creativity to continuously improve processes.
• Fluent in both written and oral English; Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of ERP or MRP and their applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
