American manufacturing will always be a pillar of our brand, and we proudly transform all our suppressors in Millcreek, Utah. Our team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable professionals is looking for a Buyer 1 in our Supply Chain Department to become an integral part of our operations.

Job Summary:

Buyer 1 will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services necessary for the manufacturing process. This role requires a keen understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and industry-specific requirements. Buyer 1 will work closely with the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
2. Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials. Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as needed to prevent shortages or excess stock.
3. Conduct cost analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
4. Ensure all purchased materials comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier certifications.
5. Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications. Provide support in resolving any issues related to purchased materials.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Five years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Experience in SAP is a plus.
6. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Comfortably stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience.

Position Details:

• Location: Main office in Millcreek, UT.
• Full-time, office (NOT a remote position).
