Job summary

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers regarding pricing, specifications, quality, availability, delivery, and order status.
• Prepare RFQs, obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, and select suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and delivery requirements.
• Receive customer purchase orders and create, issue, and maintain supplier purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory and supplier delivery performance; expedite materials as needed to meet customer commitments.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including costs, delivery dates, product quality, and supplier performance.
• Obtain product, technical, pricing, and delivery information from suppliers in response to customer requirements.
• Coordinate export shipments, shipping instructions, and commercial invoices with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and the Export team.
• Resolve pricing discrepancies, rejected or defective items, and other order issues with Accounting, Quality/Inspection, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders.
• Provide timely customer updates and maintain high standards of service throughout the order process.

Summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by relevant job-related coursework or training.
• Minimum 1 year of international sales, purchasing, and/or customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time-management, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to perform basic business calculations, including discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment and frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. The noise level is generally quiet.
