In this role, you'll follow standard policies to procure raw materials, supplies, services, parts, and equipment, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal pricing, quality, and terms. Main Function Responsibilities
- Prepare daily purchase orders for acquiring items, aiming to control vendor delivery, performance, and product quality.
- Communicate requirements with suppliers daily and weekly. Obtain delivery commitments and reconcile open orders. Follow up on shortages.
- Handle returns of rejected items and ensure transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
- Conduct supplier visits, analyze delivery performance, and publish results internally and to vendors monthly. Coordinate quarterly reviews.
- Collaborate with quality to analyze non-conformances and act as the liaison for Safran Seats USA.
- Participate in meetings related to production and programs as needed.
- Report key metrics monthly, including Purchase Price Variances, On-Time Delivery, Freight, Expedites, Shortages. Share results with managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Work Experience & Technical Skills: Basic understanding of ERP systems, ability to read blueprints, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professional Skills: Clear written communication, ability to operate office equipment, and effective English communication skills.
- Behavioral Skills: Initiative, responsibility, adaptability, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Desirable: APICS certification, MRP experience (MAPICS, M3, JD Edwards, SAP).
- Physical Demands: Extended sitting, use of office equipment, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Work Environment: Office setting with occasional visits to production and warehouse areas.
- Travel: International and domestic travel, less than one week internationally.
