Job summary

Extol, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement of custom automation equipment. You will build and nurture supplier relationships and work closely with internal business units to align on timelines and expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of buying experience, strong data-driven decision making, and proficiency in ERP and MS Office to support fast-paced manufacturing operations.

Extol, Inc. is looking for an organized, learning-oriented Buyer! This position is responsible for the procurement activities of our custom automation equipment. This professional would not only build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers but build and foster strong internal cross-functional relationships with business units.

The Ideal Candidate

• Time Management Expert: Demonstrates exceptional time management skills, effectively balancing personal daily tasks and broader organizational timeline goals.
• Excellent Communicator: Excels in communicating with managers, external vendors, and internal business units to foster clear and productive conversations related to timelines.
• Organized and Detail Oriented: Ensures proper workflow of purchasing processes by meticulously organizing and maintaining detailed records.
• Ownership Mentality: Takes full ownership of the custom automation solutions product buying process, proactively addressing issues, and driving continuous improvement with support and guidance from supply chain manager.
• Team Player: Work seamlessly within a team environment, contributing to strategic planning and problem-solving initiatives within the supply chain team.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent job experience
• 2+ years of buyer and/or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions
• Proficiency in using ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
