SigmaTron International in Union City, CA is seeking a Purchasing professional to support manufacturing by sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and coordinating with suppliers to meet production schedules. You will issue POs, manage supplier relationships, monitor delivery and quality, and optimize costs via RFQs and supplier selection.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Business and 1–2 years in purchasing, with strong communication and MS Office skills to ensure procurement data

• Excellent written and verbal communication for procurement transactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Negotiate and coordinate procurement of materials and services to support manufacturing objectives (right price, quality, lead time, inventory).
• Issue purchase orders for production materials and for maintenance, repair, and facility operations.
• Communicate production and capacity planning to suppliers.
• Ensure timely material delivery to support production schedules.
• Confirm material requisitions are aligned with BOMs.
• Monitor supplier quality and performance.
• Implement supplier selection and RFQ processes.
• Evaluate quotes and award POs to achieve best total cost.

Location - Union City, CA

1. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and coordinate the procurement of material and services necessary to support the manufacturing schedule, taking into consideration the objectives of right pricing, right quality, right lead-time, and proper inventory control.
• Issue purchase orders as required to procure production-oriented material as well as items and services required for Maintenance, Repair, and facility Operation.
• Communicate production planning and capacity planning to suppliers.
• Ensure material delivery requirements to support production.
• Confirm material requisition for correct Bill of Material.
• Monitor the quality of products purchased and communicates with suppliers.
• Implement supplier selection and request for quotes.
• Evaluate quotes and award purchase orders to the best total cost quotes.
