Job summary

Sensient Agricultural Ingredients, a unit of Sensient Technologies Corporation, is seeking a Buyer to manage procurement for plant operations in Turlock, CA. This on-site role balances day-to-day purchasing with long-term planning, interfacing with finance, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams.

You will secure materials, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to meet quality and cost goals, while integrating planning with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Knowledge of accounting, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP).
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Analytical thinking and a results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate updates on raw material costs and purchasing activities to cross functional teams and leadership.

These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Agricultural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
