Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions in Texas is seeking a Buyer to own category sales, margin, inventory, and assortment for hardlines in outdoor and sporting goods. You will influence merchandising strategy and drive business performance.

You will analyze trends, negotiate with vendors, and collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, eCommerce, Marketing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain while mentoring junior staff and traveling as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of buying, merchandising, or category management experience in hardlines within the outdoor, hunting, camping, fishing, or sporting goods industry (not softlines/apparel)
• Experience managing large, high-SKU product categories in a retail environment
• Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation skills
• Passion for the outdoor lifestyle and understanding of the outdoor consumer
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

In This Role, You Will:
