Job summary

Momentive Technologies is seeking a Buyer to support the procurement team in sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials for operations. You will maintain purchase records, communicate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery within policy and budget guidelines.

Responsibilities include supplier onboarding, structure of requisitions, issuing POs, SAP updates, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Logistics to validate terms and duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience, and 3+ years in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills across multi-functional teams.
• 2+ years of hands-on SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new sources of supplies and services.
• Structure purchase requisitions to ensure policy compliance and measurable supplier performance.
• Issue purchase orders, track status, and update SAP with delivery dates and changes.
• Ensure latest drawings, quality, and flow down requirements are passed to suppliers.
• Provide training and support to team members on policy and procedures.
• Reconcile vendor POs and invoice misalignment for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance to verify INCO terms and duties.
• Issue RFQs and RFPs when requested.
• Attend site management meetings and report topics to procurement management.

Buyer

The buyer supports the procurement team by assisting in the sourcing, ordering, and tracking of materials, supplies, and services necessary for business operations. This role is responsible for maintaining purchase records, communicating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to company policies and budget guidelines. The Buyer works under the guidance of senior procurement staff to coordinate supplier management activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and conduct due diligence on new sources of supplies and services to include completing supplier onboarding process.
• Ensure purchase requisitions are structured correctly to ensure compliance with policy and enable accurate measure of supplier's delivery performance.
• Issue purchase orders, track status of orders and update SAP with latest delivery dates and/or changes to lead time and minimum order quantities.
• Ensure latest drawings, quality, and customer flow down requirements are passed along to suppliers.
• Provide training and support to team members involved in the procurement process to include conformance to policy and procedures.
• Reconcile vendor purchase orders and invoice misalignment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Work with the Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to validate the established INCO terms, freight and duties and relevant tax information needed.
• Issue request for quotes and request for proposal upon request.
• Attend site management meetings, reporting key topics to procurement management.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience, and 3+ years of prior experience within procurement or a similar role.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multi-functional teams.
• 2+ years of hands-on SAP experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to multitask, think, and act independently and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Procurement-related field.
