Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and supplier performance
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the organization
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulations related to procurement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support category management initiatives
  • Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify areas for improvement in the procurement process

Experience And Education
Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
  • Proficient in using procurement systems and software
Preferred
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is preferred
Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $65,000 – $70,000 per year.
