The ideal candidate will analyze data, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with internal teams to meet specifications. Experience with procurement systems and knowledge of FAR is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Buyer or in procurement roles.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet organizational needs.
• Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine specifications and procurement needs.
• Develop procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and supplier performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues or disputes.
• Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulations in procurement.

Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and supplier performance
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the organization
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulations related to procurement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support category management initiatives
• Utilize root cause analysis techniques to identify areas for improvement in the procurement process

Experience And Education

Minimum

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
• Proficient in using procurement systems and software

Preferred

• Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is preferred

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $65,000 – $70,000 per year.
