Magnaflow, based in Oceanside, CA, seeks a Buyer to manage real-time supplier communication and coordinate fulfillment from Production, R&D, and Marketing.

The role requires maintaining MRP inventory levels, ERP data integrity, sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and generating POs through close, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years’ experience preferred.

Through the Camburg division in Huntington Beach, CA. Magnaflow also supplies race-inspired performance suspension products and vehicle uplifting services, Magnaflow is focused on future growth through both new business development and new product introduction. Salary Range

$73,000-$89,500 USD annually

• Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.

What You Will Be Doing

Buyer will maintain real time communication with suppliers and coordinate the fulfillment of requirements from Production, R&D, and Marketing.

Requirements

• Execute daily/weekly process to review and maintain MRP suggested inventory levels.
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy for purchased parts in the ERP system.
• Source new suppliers as needed for new parts and services.
• Search for suppliers with better quality and/or lower costs for existing parts and services.
• Negotiate best price, quality, lead time and service from suppliers.
• Generate and follow up on purchase orders until invoiced and closed.
• Take immediate action to resolve or avoid issues which could impede production or have a negative financial impact.
• Work with Engineering, Marketing or Management to implement design changes, or prepare for future requirements and new applications.
• Participate in the MagnaFlow supplier management program,
• Visit suppliers to develop business relationships and seek opportunities to benefit MagnaFlow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years’ experience preferred.

• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong command of Microsoft Application Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various PC applications.
• Strong work ethic and accountability driven mindset.
• 10% Travel required.
• Automotive and/or manufacturing industry knowledge preferred
