Symbiotic Services is recruiting a Buyer for a manufacturing client in Conover, North Carolina. This fully onsite role supports operations through data-driven purchasing decisions, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization.

The Buyer partners with Operations, Planning, and Stockroom teams to ensure timely procurement of quality materials that align with production needs. Growth toward senior Buyer is possible within Purchasing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Buyer or Purchasing in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret purchasing and inventory data.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Fluency in English with strong professional communication.
• Excellent organization and time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel periodically between plant locations and High Point showroom.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing, usage, and inventory data to identify trends and savings.
• Recommend quantities and delivery timing based on forecasts and inventories.
• Monitor supplier performance on pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Support supplier discussions on delivery, quality, and pricing with leadership guidance.
• Execute purchase orders as part of a strategic purchasing plan.
• Maintain purchasing data integrity in ERP/MRP systems.
• Support weekly inventory reviews and replenishment analysis.

This is a fully onsite position. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. Candidates must be able to work onsite at the company's facility in Conover, North Carolina. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

About the Role

Symbiotic Services is recruiting a Buyer on behalf of our client, a manufacturing company located in Conover, North Carolina.

The Buyer supports manufacturing operations through data-driven purchasing decisions, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization. This role partners closely with Operations, Planning, and Stockroom teams to ensure timely procurement of quality materials aligned with production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing, usage, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Recommend purchasing quantities and delivery timing based on forecasts, usage trends, and inventory levels.
• Monitor supplier performance related to pricing, delivery, and quality; follow up on late or at‑risk items.
• Support supplier discussions related to delivery performance, quality, and pricing, with guidance from senior purchasing leadership.
• Execute purchase orders as part of an overall purchasing strategy.
• Maintain purchasing data integrity within internal ERP/MRP systems.
• Support inventory planning, including weekly inventory reviews and replenishment analysis.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support continuity of operations and shared best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing and inventory data.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) required, with strong professional communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to travel periodicbetween plant locations and the High Point showroom.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer‑sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations.
• Experience working within ERP or MRP systems.

This position offers the opportunity to expand responsibilities and develop professionally within the Purchasing function. As business needs evolve, the role may progress into a more senior Buyer position.
