F McConnell and Sons, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to manage retail procurement, vendor relations, and item maintenance. You will load promotions, review stock reports, and coordinate with Marketing and Merchandising to ensure product availability.

The ideal candidate has retail purchasing experience, strong numerical and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. This is an in-office role with occasional travel during peak seasons.

Responsabilidades

• Purchase assigned vendors
• Daily review of stock reports and out-of-stock/low-stock alerts
• New item setup
• Coordinate new item information with Marketing and Merchandising
• Load promotional allowances/deals
• Maintain item pricing and vendor notes
• Manage vendor relationships for availability and cost control
• Expedite POs and trace backhauls
• Coordinate backhauls with Operations
• Manage vendor returns
• Create category cubes and quarterly reports
• Support category reviews with reporting and item performance analysis

Job Title: Buyer
Location: F McConnell and Sons, Inc.
Reports To: V.P. of Category Management and Sales

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase Assigned Vendors
• Daily Review Reports #112(Out of Stock Report), #165(Buyer Low Stock Warning Report)
• New Item Setup
• Coordinate New Item Information with Marketing and Merchandising
• Load Promotional Allowances/ (Deals)
• Item Price Change Maintenance
• Vendor Maintenance – Keep vendor notes and information updated
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product availability, cost control and service levels
• Trace & Expedite PO’s
• Coordinate Backhauls with Operations
• Manage Vendor Returns
• Create Category Cubes / Quarterly Reports
• Work with Merchandising Manager concerning Retailer Accruals
• Work with Vendors to Alleviate Overstocks - Report #157(Excess Inventory Report)
• Support Category reviews through reporting and item performance analysis

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a retail or purchasing environment
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
