Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks a Buyer to provide exceptional service and manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and lifecycle tracking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 2 years purchasing related experience required.
• Work experience in a health care procurement setting preferred.
• Certified Materials Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, support Service departments and supplier representatives.
• Manage purchasing activities including processing requisitions to purchase orders, monitor purchase order life cycle, obtaining quotations, match exception resolution, order acknowledgments, order expediting, back order management, all in a timely and accurate manner.
• Meet metric expectations that are outlined for the role – i.e. match exceptions, accruals, change orders, aging open orders.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. This position is hybrid for individuals living in Wisconsin or Illinois, with some on-site meetings required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
