A leading company in packaging and industrial machinery is searching for a Sr. Direct Placement Technical Recruiting Manager / National Account Manager to oversee strategic purchasing and procurement in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong negotiation skills, experience with MRP analysis, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field alongside substantial experience in sourcing and buying.

Qualifications

Sr. Direct Placement Technical Recruiting Manager / National Account Manager

Manages procurement activities to support production schedules through strategic purchasing, MRP analysis, and supplier coordination in a manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
• Minimum 5 years of buying/sourcing experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with international purchasing preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with machining and fabrication procurement
• Hands-on experience with MRP or ERP systems, including MRP analysis and production control/planning
• APICS or Supply Chain Management certification preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with purchase order placement processes based on daily MRP requirements
• Ability to ensure on-time delivery of materials and parts
• Experience with non-conforming purchase part disposition and returns
• Skilled in expediting orders and coordinating with vendors
• Ability to support cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Production

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform daily review of MRP requirements to generate and place purchase orders

• Collaborate with internal departments to support ongoing manufacturing and planning needs
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate as necessary for materials and components
• Coordinate the return, replacement, or disposal of non-conforming parts
• Expedite critical orders and resolve supply chain disruptions proactively
