Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship Required.
What are the main functions of this role? The Buyer will have existing procurement experience in the Aerospace and Defense (AandD) industry in a manufacturing or Research and Development (R&D) environment.
Responsibilities
- Existing procurement experience in Aerospace and Defense (AandD) in manufacturing or R&D.
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and/or NASA procurement regulations, price analysis and target pricing techniques, and prior experience procuring Custom Fab to Print commodities.
- ERP experience (3-5 years) SAP preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and BOM, mechanical/fabricated part drawings, technical specifications.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to meet organizational needs while managing purchasing processes.
- Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Material Program Manager, Planning, and Accounting to meet business needs.
- Experience in procurement and/or vendor contract management preferred.
- Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS compliance.
- Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Set and maintain accurate item lead times and hold suppliers accountable to commitments.
- Exhibit high attention to detail.
- Excellent scheduling and time management ability.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self‑motivated, and able to drive a process from start to finish.

- Working knowledge of vendor setup, PO packages, T&C negotiations, NDA processing, cost savings negotiations.
- Mechanical buying experience.
- Software buying experience.
Qualifications
Years of Experience Required: 3-7 years.
Education Level Required: Bachelor's degree.
Performance Measurement
The contractor's success will be measured using the 2026 Purchasing Team Goals, as well as the 1:1 Control Tower metrics based on procurements, deliveries, trainings, etc.
