Job summary

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, pricing, part numbers, and supplier records.
• Understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments; experience with mechanical parts, heating equipment, or related products is beneficial.
• Familiarity with basic contract terms, lead times, and logistics; experience in continuous improvement or cost-reduction initiatives is a plus.

Role Description

The Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Janesville, WI, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and supplies to support production and operations. Day-to-day tasks include issuing purchase orders, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The role involves evaluating vendor performance, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and coordinating closely with manufacturing, engineering, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with production schedules. The Buyer will also analyze usage data, identify cost-saving opportunities, help resolve supply issues, and support continuous improvement of purchasing processes while adhering to company quality and compliance standards.
