Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment seeks an experienced Prefab Buyer for its Houston operation. The role supports the electrical prefabrication workflow, focusing on material availability, pricing, vendor relationships, and on-time delivery within a fast-moving construction environment.

Responsibilities include managing purchasing requirements, issuing POs, expediting, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure production schedules are met.

Qualifications

• Previous Buyer or Purchasing experience required.
• Electrical construction purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• Prefab purchasing experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of purchase orders, materials, vendors, pricing and expediting.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems

We are working with a growing electrical construction contractor that is looking for an experienced Prefab Buyer to join its Houston operation.

This position will support the company's electrical prefabrication operation and is best suited to someone with hands-on purchasing experience who understands the importance of material availability, pricing, vendor relationships and delivery schedules within a fast-moving construction environment.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and vendor-management skills
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems
• Kojo, Vista or similar system experience is advantageous
• Hands-on purchasing experience rather than purely administrative procurement support
