Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Supply Chain Planner/Buyer in Carlsbad, CA to support daily purchasing and planning activities for manufacturing operations. Under supervision, you will review material requirements, maintain purchasing data, communicate with suppliers, and assist with daily planning.

A Bachelor's in a related field and familiarity with ERP systems are preferred; strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, procurement, manufacturing, or related function.
• General understanding of purchasing, inventory management, production planning, or supply chain processes.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.

Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner/Buyer supports purchasing and planning activities to help ensure material availability and

continuity of supply for manufacturing operations. This entry-level professional role applies to the foundational

supply chain and purchasing knowledge to perform routine planning and procurement activities using established

procedures and systems.

Under the guidance of senior Supply Chain team members, the Planner/Buyer reviews material requirements,

maintains purchasing data, communicates with suppliers, and supports daily planning activities. Success in this role

requires attention to detail, effective communication, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow established

processes while meeting departmental objectives and deadline

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related

field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, procurement, manufacturing, or a related business function.
