Job summary

New Pig is seeking a Buyer I in Pennsylvania to support procurement across multiple supply chain projects. This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Procurement and seeks efficiency improvements while learning across procurement functions.

You will issue purchase orders, replenish inventory, track shipments, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams. Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office is desirable; some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong data analytics, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to suppliers and replenish inventory.
• Track shipments and resolve order/pricing discrepancies.
• Manage ERP parameters to improve replenishment quantities and order releases.
• Manage Supplier Relationships to improve product availability and reduce costs.
• Follow-up on past due purchase orders.
• Proactively review inventory levels and expedite or delay purchase orders as needed.
• Communicate stockouts and when products will be available.
• Issue purchase orders for MRO and capital expenditures.
• Coordinate input of information related to new supplier onboarding.
• Collect and update information related to existing suppliers.
• Support the development, implementation and improvement of systems used in procurement.
• Respond professionally and timely to calls, emails, and other inquiries from the sales, product management, accounting and warehouse team members.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
