Verus Research Llc seeks a Buyer for Albuquerque, NM, to support technical project teams in an R&D setting. The role focuses on timely, compliant procurement of complex materials and services, including electronics and mechanical components.

The successful candidate will hold a U.S. citizenship, a relevant bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and 3–5 years of procurement experience in contract-driven environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, business, communications, or other relevant discipline; Master’s degree a plus.
• 3–5 years’ experience in contract manufacturing, government contracting, R&D, or similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience buying across electronics, mechanical systems, PCBs, box assembly, services and test equipment.
• Experience supporting audits, policy improvements, training.
• Knowledge of Albuquerque market suppliers is a plus.

This position is in support of technical project teams in a research and development (R&D) environment. This is a unique opportunity to perform procurement activities for highly complex technical programs in a dynamic work setting designed to maximize mutual joy in pursuit of practical solutions to meet tomorrow’s needs.The Buyer will be responsible for efficiently executing purchase requisitions in compliance with all contractual and legal requirements. Experience with purchasing documentation that meets CPSR standards and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and public laws is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and work well as a member of a team.
