Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
• Must have at least 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Admitted to practicing law in the state of Michigan.
• Have experience within the practice area of commercial litigation.
• Supervisory and mentoring experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and represent clients in litigation proceedings, including trials, hearings, discovery, motion practice, etc.
• Construct and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and interact with expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys within the firm.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and mentoring to attorneys with less litigation experience, including reviewing work product and supporting their professional development.
• Maintain responsive communication with other Firm attorneys and clients regarding case developments.
• Provide legal counsel and develop case strategies tailored to clients’ unique needs.
