Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Churn Operator to join the production team. You will monitor and operate churns, assist in packaging, and maintain production records to ensure high-quality butter.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to GMPs; prior production experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits available.

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor three butter churns to ensure efficient and consistent production.
• Assist with butter packaging, box assembly and stacking operations.
• Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
• Perform quality control procedures, including testing and adjusting butterfat, moisture, and salt levels.
• Provide relief support in packaging and stacking areas to maintain continuous production flow.
• Assist in the clean-up of all butter production equipment as well as other cleaning duties, when necessary.
• Maintain churns in correct specs.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanita tion requirements
