Coordinates all aspects of kitchen operations, including staffing, purchasing, storage, preparation, and service of food. In conjunction with management staff is responsible for hiring, training and managing kitchen support staff. Purchases or requisitions food items, supplies and equipment. Participates in menu planning process. Responsible for food production and apportioning to insure standards of quality and to control food costs. Supervises production of special diet items. Ensures that appropriate standards of sanitation and safety are maintained at all times in the kitchen area to meet all federal, state and local regulations as well as health codes.
Pay: $15 – $15.50 per hour
