Bessie’s Diner, part of Geronimo Hospitality Group, invites you to join our aviation-themed breakfast and lunch team in Janesville, WI. As a busser, you’ll help servers, clear and reset tables, and maintain a clean, inviting dining area.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude. U.S. work authorization is required; experience with high-volume service is a plus, and we offer opportunities to grow with a dynamic hospitality group.

Bessie’s Diner features an aviation-themed dining experience located at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, Wisconsin. Open for breakfast and lunch, patrons will feel as though they have traveled back in time to a classic 1950s diner–from the vinyl-covered stools to the chrome-plated tables. Children and adults alike will want to feast on the gigantic cinnamon rolls while watching the airplanes through vast floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the runway.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

As the busser, you will serve customers and extend great customer service by setting tables; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and maintain the overall cleanliness of the dining establishment.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Clear all used tableware, napkins and refuse from tables to bus station
• Wipe tables, chairs and clears debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding table.
• Dress tables, make sure dining space is cleaned
• Assist wait staff by refilling customers beverages and accommodating requests for additional condiments, food items or clean/fresh tableware.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distributes to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use.
• Reset in accordance to restaurant standards in order to seat new customers as quickly as possible
• Must be able to identify and explain all dishes on current menus
• Perform other duties including running dishes, sweeping, emptying trash, filling waters
• Know your schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

• EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING Basic math skills required, legible handwriting, teamwork, strong customer service and oral communication skills.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

U.S. Work Authorization (required).
