Job summary

Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a Part-Time Server Assistant/Busser/Food Runner to support our friendly dining team and help ensure a smooth, welcoming guest experience.

You will assist with clearing and resetting tables, transporting items, restocking supplies, and helping servers during busy service. Candidates should be 16+ years old, enjoy serving others, and be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Join our team! We have immediate openings for individuals who are committed to elevating our member experience to fill the position of a Part-Time Server Assistant/Busser/Food Runner.

If you're passionate about elevating member or guest experience and hold the required qualifications, we want to hear from you! This is a great steppingstone to those who want to join a food and beverage team but don’t have the experience yet to be successful. We will teach you how to best take care of our members, from food service to cleanliness to overall operations.

Your Role:

We are currently seeking a Food Runner / Busser/ Server Assistant to join and contribute to the success of Moccasin Creek by creating positive experiences for every guest who visits by being welcoming, friendly, attentive, and supporting service staff during each dining engagement for excellent service.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and reset tables after guests finish dining
• Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing area in a timely manner
• Assist in restocking ice, glassware, and dishware in assigned areas
• Replenish water, and help the waiters with simple tasks
• Wrap and organize utensils for table settings
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by any manager based on business needs

Qualifications/Skills:

• 16+ years of age
• Comfortable engaging with the public
• Passionate about serving others
• Strong conflict resolution skills to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive guest experience
• Able to communicate effectively during guest interactions
• Must have reliable form of transportation and be able to work flexible shifts, inclusive of weekends, days, late nights, and holidays

Physical & Environmental Demands:

• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Able to use manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills
• Must be able to stand, walk and be mobile during the entire shift, including stairs, inclines, and declines
• Able to pivot, transition between seated and standing positions, kneel, stoop, and lift throughout shifts
• Comfortable working in loud, distracting environments
• Able to multitask and work efficiently with speed, accuracy, and composure in a fast-paced restaurant under pressure
