Job description

Sleek and sophisticated, with soft seating, champagne by the glass, and an outdoor balcony overlooking the Power & Light District, which has quickly become Kansas City’s vibrant hub. Mosaic Ultra Lounge is downtown Kansas City’s premier destination for cocktails after work, private parties, or late-night festivities, with a soundtrack provided by the area’s top DJs.

Busser/Runner Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism.
  • Perform duties to ensure proper steps of service are followed.
  • Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
  • Support serving staff in meeting all customer needs efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain clean and organized service stations throughout the shift.
  • Clear and clean tables promptly.
  • Reset tables according to location specifications.
  • Multitask effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests, maintaining patience, courtesy, and good humor.
  • Complete all assigned side work.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Clear empty tables and set up for new guests.
  • Restock service stations as needed.
  • Prior experience in customer service or restaurants is preferred.
  • Must speak fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members, reflecting positively on the venue and brand.
  • Ability to read and write effectively to answer guest questions about the menu.
  • Basic math skills are frequently used.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires the ability to:

  • Pay close attention to detail.
  • Carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Handle objects such as food, utensils, and trays.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
  • Move safely and efficiently throughout the entire facility.
