Job summary

Elevation Entertainment Group in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Busser to maintain a clean dining area and support the food and beverage staff in delivering a superior guest experience. You will help ensure clean tables and a welcoming environment for guests in a fast-paced setting, while upholding safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include bussing tables, resetting for guests, cleaning the dining area, and collaborating with team members to provide efficient service and an enjoyable casino

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

  • Present the restaurant in a professional, attractive manner by maintaining a clean environment.
  • Remove dirty plates, silverware, glassware, or items left on tables after guests depart.
  • Set up tables with fresh utensils, plates, and glasses for guests.
  • Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.
  • Promote teamwork by assisting other team members as needed.
  • Provide a fun, superior dining experience by engaging with guests.
  • Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.

Primary Function

To maintain cleanliness throughout the property and provide assistance to the food and beverage staff in alignment with the company’s mission and core values.

Essential Responsibilities

All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, Safety Regulations and other legal regulations and requirements (California Health & Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7 - Retail Food). Essential responsibilities include the following. Please note that additional duties may be assigned at a future date:

  • Present the restaurant in a professional, attractive manner by maintaining a clean environment; includes keeping the coffee area clean; bussing trays, dirty dishes and flatware to the dishwashing area.
  • Remove dirty plates, silverware, glassware, or anything left on the tables after a guest has left; keep tables and surrounding spaces clear and tidy.
  • Set up tables appropriately, with fresh utensils, plates, or glasses for guests.
  • Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.
  • Promote teamwork by circulating the dining room for maximum availability and assisting other team members, as needed.
  • Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by establishing and maintaining a good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage.
  • Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the Restaurant Manager, Security or Restaurant Manager.
  • Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.
  • Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.
Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
  • Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Conditions of Employment

This job has conditions of employment essential to the position that include:

  • Must be able successfully pass a thorough background check from the Cityin order to obtain a Gaming License
  • Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city’s requirements
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a current Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification
