Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is hiring a Busser (Prime Rib) to maintain clean dining areas and support service in the Prime Rib section.

You will stock wait stations, clear tables, reset settings, and assist hosts to seat patrons, while complying with sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read instructions, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, alcohol-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• One year food service experience preferred.
• Must obtain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board.
• Able to work in a smoking and alcohol environment.

Accountable for clearing restaurant tables of dirty dishes and dirty linen in a fast and efficient manner. The Live Casino guest experience is enhanced with clean, and organized dining areas.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Responsible to stock wait stations, bar and host stand.
• Responsible for bringing ice as needed.
• Responsible to clear tables of dirty dishes, linen, silverware and transport to kitchen via bus cart.
• May assist host and hostesses to seat patrons.
• Responsible for resetting tables after they have been cleared.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• Ability to organize and be creative. Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
• Ability to use a cash register, credit card machine, point of sale machine, restaurant bar equipment, and equipment.
• Ability to read simple instructions.
• Knowledgeable of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and PPE (Personal Property Equipment).
• Excellent communication skills needed.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older
• Experience: One (1) year food service experience. (Preferred).
• You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying dishes, product, equipment, trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push bus cart and carry trash/linen bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
