Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is seeking a friendly dining room team member to maintain clean and organized dining areas and support the guest experience. You will clear tables, stock service areas, and help ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced casino restaurant.

Applicants should be 21+ with a year of food service preferred, capable of standing and lifting up to 50 pounds, and able to work in environments with alcohol exposure. Training on licensing requirements will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 1 year food service experience preferred.
• Must pass licensing as required by regulators.
• Able to work in alcohol and smoking environment.
• Stand/walk throughout shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Stock wait stations, bar, and host stand.
• Bring ice as needed.
• Clear tables of dishes, linen, silverware and transport to kitchen.
• Assist host/hostesses to seat patrons when needed.
• Reset tables after clearing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Accountable for clearing restaurant tables of dirty dishes and dirty linen in a fast and efficient manner. The Live Casino guest experience is enhanced with clean, and organized dining areas.

Where You'll Make an Impact

• Responsible to stock wait stations, bar and host stand.
• Responsible for bringing ice as needed.
• Responsible to clear tables of dirty dishes, linen, silverware and transport to kitchen via bus cart.
• May assist host and hostesses to seat patrons.
• Responsible for resetting tables after they have been cleared.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed

• Ability to organize and be creative. Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
• Ability to use a cash register, credit card machine, point of sale machine, restaurant bar equipment, and equipment.
• Ability to read simple instructions.
• Knowledgeable of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and PPE (Personal Property Equipment).
• Excellent communication skills needed.

Must-Haves

• Education A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older
• Experience One (1) year food service experience. (Preferred).
• You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying dishes, product, equipment, trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push bus cart and carry trash/linen bags weighing up to 50 pounds.
