BUSSER - GJELINA NYC

Salary Range: $18 Min Wage to $20 per hour (DOE and state)

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide full operational support during service, maintain cleanliness, set and reset tables, assist with beverage and coffee orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report for duty on time, clock in for your shift.
2. Manage your time, including breaks, in compliance with New York Labor Law.
3. Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene.
4. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
5. Build rapport with guests, encouraging repeat visits.
6. Organize, clean, and maintain service areas.
7. Prepare the floor at opening and closing, stocking and cleaning.
8. Clear and reset tables efficiently.
9. Polish and restock glassware, plates, and silverware.
10. Support with service, communicate clearly with team members.
11. Attend training and pre-shift meetings.
12. Support management in all service aspects.
13. Perform other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must perform all duties satisfactorily. Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have NYC Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and NYC Food Handler Certificate. Understand food safety and safety protocols.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stand, lift, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Repetitive motions with hands. Reach varying heights. Environmental exposure to cold, heat, water, and cleaning chemicals. Focus in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
