Job summary

Shin Dig Plainfield, part of Cunningham Restaurant Group, seeks a Busser to help keep the dining area clean and welcoming. No experience required; on-the-job training provided. You will clear tables, reset for new guests, and assist servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

This front-of-house role offers competitive compensation with tips and room for advancement within CRG. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability preferred to support a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift trays or bus tubs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring a clean and inviting dining area.
• Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and condiment containers.
• Assistance to Servers: Assist servers with refilling drinks, delivering food orders, and providing additional items to guests as needed.
• Communicate with servers to ensure tables are prepared for new guests.
• Support to Kitchen Staff: Transport dishes from the kitchen to the dining area and ensure food orders are delivered to correct tables.
• Organization and Restocking: Keep the server station and busser station clean and well-organized.
• Restock items such as napkins, utensils, and condiments; empty trash receptacles and replace bags.
• Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner and address inquiries.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop floors, clean windows, and maintain a tidy appearance.
